You know how you meet those people that are always happy, full of energy and never get upset about much? I’m not one of those people. I would like to be but I am definitely a pessimist. The part that stinks is that I haven’t always been this way. I used to think that everything was great but then life happened after I went to college. However, I do believe that once you know this about yourself you can work on changing things for the better.
Now everything that I have read says that your mind is a very powerful thing. If you are able to change your negative thinking to positive thinking your life tends to start to get better. That doesn’t mean that bad things don’t happen. You are just able to deal with them better.
So my thinking is that I now need to get a handle on this before he holidays really start up. I work in retail so things are going to get crazy and there are a lot of cranky people out there this time of year. The biggest thing we have to do is whenever a negative thought comes into our head we have to change it to a positive. I have started this week with working on this. I will definitely let you know how it goes and wether what I have read about this is true. Will it really make things better?
